The three-day trip contained a packed agenda, with students being able to network with corporate executives alongside taking time to take in the sights and sounds of the world’s leading financial center. These are defining experiences of The Silver Room and the Bronzeville Winery, iconic and wildly popular businesses located on the South Side of Chicago. But did you know that the founder of these revered establishments is a UIC Business alumnus? The convention was a four-day experience where students and professionals from various ALPFA chapters across the country attended informative workshops, large networking events, and a career fair offering incredible opportunities. Natalia Camacho, Marketing student and ALPFA at UIC Secretary, wrote about the experience and the chapter's road to winning the Midwest Region Student Chapter of the Year Award. Renowned for his interactive class activities and strong emphasis on student engagement, Patel has made a notable impact since joining UIC as a professor in January 2023. Administered by the UIC Business iLEAD Professional Development Program (PDP), BA 320 gives students the opportunity to examine social issues.
