Saturday, January 21, 2012, UIC Pavilion: UIC Athletics and the University of Illinois at Chicago, Liautaud GSB, welcomed students, alumni, friends and family at the 3rd Annual Day with the UIC Flames Men’s Basketball Team.
The first 100 guests that arrived received special access to “The Fire Pit”, feasting in the free pregame food and drinks. UIC hosted its Horizon League Conference Rivals, when the Crusaders from Valparaiso University traveled from Indiana. The battle ended with a close win by Valparaiso, final score 60 – 55, after 15 lead changes and eight tied scores.
Following the alumni and student attended game, the social moved to Union Park Lounge, where raffle prizes like t-shirts, hats, and a grand prize of 4 free tickets to a future 2012 home game, were awarded.
