If you are interested in technology commercialization or early stage venture funding, a background in science/technology makes you a primary candidate for a unique opportunity.

The UIC Liautaud Graduate School of Business is partnering with UIC’s Office of Technology Management and Illinois Ventures to offer graduate fellowships to fund the MBA studies of qualified students while they work with technology commercialization, funding early-stage technology, and venture capital.

The two-year fellowships include base tuition exemption and a monthly stipend in exchange for working 20 hours per week with Office of Technology Management or with Illinois Ventures. The fellowships offer extensive learning and professional development opportunities that complement business coursework.

To be eligible, candidates must have prior education and professional experience in science or technology and must apply for admission to the UIC Liautaud Graduate School of Business.

UIC ranks among the nation’s leading research universities, a place where outstanding faculty, staff, and students come together to further the pursuit of scientific understanding and innovation. A shining example of this is the Technology Ventures program offered at UIC Liautaud. It has produced a half-dozen sustained start-up firms in its seven year history, many based on technology developed at UIC.
