Offerings at UIC Liautaud Career Services: Professional Style and Attire Presentation

The Career Services Office at UIC Liautaud GSB offers information and consultations on researching companies and job opportunities, guidance on resume and cover letters, practice for informational and job interviews through no pressure mock interviews, and negotiation tips.

UIC Liautaud Career Services brings in companies and speakers for professional development workshops, covering topics such as: creating your professional persona, building your career network, and maximizing job search efforts for improving your interview and job offer prospects.

In 2012, the University of Illinois at Chicago, Liautaud Graduate School of Business, in collaboration with GFIN, began offering its first 2-day workshop on professional style and attire.

Representing 9tailors, LLC, the Boston-based custom tailor (outfitter of the Harvard Business School, MIT Sloan School, and Yale School of Management), Samantha Shih (Owner of 9tailors, LLC) and Kathryn Walsh (Style consultant) covered the sartorial do’s and don’ts of how to dress for making a good impression at job interviews, client meetings, and at the office.
