UIC Net Impact Lunch and Learn at McDonald’s Corporation – October 18, 2010
UIC Liautaud Net Impact partnered with DePaul Net Impact and toured the McDonald’s Corporation Campus Office Building in Oak Brook, Illinois. The building is LEED Platinum certified. Graduate students learned about the sustainability features of the building and its surrounding environment, as well as what McDonald’s does to be more energy efficient.
UIC Liautaud Graduate Finance Interest Network CFA Panel event – October 23, 2010
Saturday, October 23rd the UIC Liautaud Graduate School of Business and the GFIN hosted a panel with Chartered Financial Analyst member Vivian Lin, UIC Liautaud lecturer in finance Ann Logue, UIC Liautaud MBA student Thor Perplies, moderated by UIC Liautaud MBA student Steven Schouten. Thor has recently passed the CFA Level I exam and Steven currently holds an internship with the CFA. The panel discussed the benefits of becoming a member of the CFA and how this designation can benefit you whether you are pursuing an MBA in Finance, MBA in Accounting or other.
