Jenny Hoobler (Managerial Studies) and Grace Lemmon (Ph.D., UIC, OB/HR) presented the research they’ve done with Sandy Wayne (Managerial Studies) on glass ceiling effects of family-work conflict in a webinar format for the Boston College Center for Work and Family on Friday, October 19.  The audience was 40 of the Center’s international partners who are work-life professionals.  The researchers were finalists for the Center’s Rosabeth Moss Kanter award for the best work-family research of 2010.

Bob Liden and Sandy Wayne from Managerial Studies were recognized as top scholars in their field in an article entitled “Scholarly Impact Revisited,” published in Academy of Management Perspectives in May. They were featured as two of the top influential scholars of the past three decades in the entire field of management (inclusive of strategy, OB, HR, OT, international business, and entrepreneurship). Among the 300 influential scholars who were ranked, Bob and Sandy ranked # 71 and # 107, respectively.  Together they have a staggering 6,200+ citations to their research.
