Net Impact Community Service at Lincoln Park Community Shelter

UIC Liautaud students’ organizations volunteer to cook food for the homeless at Lincoln Park Community Shelter once a month. UIC Net Impact hosted the community service event of September. It was the first time Net Impact completed a community service activity in the 2012-2013 academic year.

Lucia, Co-VP of Net Impact and MBA Association Community Service Chair, organized this event and got nine enthusiastic volunteers, including Professor Maija Renko, advisor to Net Impact. We served potato soup, pasta with vegetable sauce and dessert for the homeless.
