Why did you choose UIC and management as a major?

I chose UIC for a variety of reasons. First, the tuition was reasonable, especially compared to other local schools. UIC’s location also enabled me to live at home and continue my employment. These two factors were hugely helpful in allowing me to finance my education. Furthermore, I had heard glowing things about the school from former graduates.

I opted to become a management major because I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of running a business and being a part of “getting the job done.”

What advice would you give a student thinking about attending UIC and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, management, or entrepreneurship?

Do it! UIC offers fantastic immersion in these areas of study, and if you take advantage of the opportunities that are offered by the college, you can practice your major to ensure that it is the right choice for you.

How would you describe yourself?

Ambitious and goal-oriented. I strive to complete every task I am given at the highest standards possible.

What has been your favorite experience while attending UIC?

Working as a research assistant to Professor Anthony Pagano was fantastic! Professor Pagano is the director of the Center for Supply Chain Management  at UIC, and he is an extremely knowledgeable individual. Working as his research assistant was an incredible way to participate in topics related to my field.

What is your favorite hangout place on campus?

That would have to be Douglas Hall – it’s a great place to work or socialize with fellow CBA students.
