Seven years ago, Adrienne Nadeau was an undergraduate studying creative writing in Tampa, Fla. “I was out one night and saw an open mic,” she says. “And I thought I’d give it a try.” That open mic laid a path for her that led her all the way to Chicago, where she is currently a Liautaud MBA student and a well-known slammer on Chicago’s tremendous poetry slam scene.
