Celebrating Finance at the GFIN Summer Social

The Graduate Finance Interest Network (GFIN) Summer Social on Saturday, August 4th, was a great success! Thanks to all who attended. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very friendly. The main purpose of this social was to introduce GFIN to new, incoming students and give them an opportunity to ask questions and learn about the organization. This was accomplished through a visual presentation, an information flyer and good conversation with the returning leadership team.

The Graduate Finance Interest Network (GFIN) is a graduate student organization at UIC Liautaud that strives to bring together students, academics and companies to increase knowledge and opportunities related to the financial sector.  All Liautaud students with an interest in financial topics are encouraged to become GFIN members.

The upcoming semester is rapidly approaching and planning for our Fall list of events has already begun. Stay tuned for the next GFIN-sponsored event which will be a discussion about current events and how they affect your personal financial situation.
