Bloomberg Training: Invest in Your Future

On Wednesday, October 23, students eagerly filled the CME Group Trading Training Lab in Douglas Hall to gain hands-on experience using the new Bloomberg terminals. Attendees listened attentively as Bloomberg representative Eric Schwartz introduced the terminal navigation and discussed the importance of becoming familiar with Bloomberg’s professional services. Schwartz explained that there are over 300,000 Bloomberg Terminal users worldwide. Student users would have access to the same software and information as traders, portfolio managers, analysts, and more!

Schwartz said, “The Bloomberg Terminal is a platform that is widely used in financial markets all over the world. Students having access to that information in their school before they even start their jobs is an incredible benefit. Getting a handle on these resources now and what’s available in the market is … the sooner the better. The more experience you have now is only going to benefit you in the future. UIC has decided to invest in your future by providing access to these terminals and I think every student should take advantage of this opportunity before they graduate.”
