2012 Chinese New Year Celebration with the MSAA

On January 20^, the MSAA (Master of Science in Accounting Association) successfully held its 2012 Chinese New Year Celebration party in Douglas Hall and close to 40 students participated in this kick-off social gathering. This was the first meeting of the 2012 spring term for new members and board members to come together and celebrate the Chinese New Year.

MSAA’s Vice President, Marco Carriero, warmly welcomed everyone and the Chair of Community Service, Crystal Zhang, provided an introduction of the MSAA organization to all new students. Professor Ram Ramakrishnan and Professor Michael Kirschenheiter also joined in the celebration with students.  The MSAA offered Chinese cuisine, interesting games, cute gifts and great social networking opportunities to all participants. It was a wonderful event to mingle with fellow students, share interests and get useful information about accounting graduate level courses. MSAA looks forward to hosting future events to assist their members in strengthening their networks and developing their career goals.
