OMG to Host Talks with Professionals from Grainger and Deloitte

On behalf of the OMG board: Taylor Lay, Joseph Russell, Aditya Deep Rai, and Yogesh Kumar, welcome to the new semester!

The Operations Management Group (OMG) is an organization for students interested in enhancing their supply chain education and networking opportunities. OMG prepares students for career advancement in operations management by helping them develop relationships with fellow scholars, alumni, and practitioners. In the past, we have hosted case study discussions, networking and speaker events. This semester, we have a very exciting lineup!

Join us this semester for our first two virtual events! Our Welcome Event will commence at 4:30 p.m. and run until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7. Tune in to meet the board and fellow members. You will also have an opportunity to learn about internship opportunities with Grainger and speak directly with the company’s supply chain team during breakout sessions.

Our second event will feature Lavanya Krishnan, a current UIC Business MBA student and project manager at Deloitte. She will take students on a journey through her career path and detail how she landed her role at her current firm. There will be a Q&A session after her presentation. Lavanya is excited to speak about the importance of networking, and she looks forward to connecting with other students. Tune into this event on Tuesday, September 21 at 4:30 p.m.

We will also be at the UIC Student Involvement Fair virtually on Friday, September 3 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Log into our booth here!
