What prompted you to return to school to achieve your master’s degree?

My desire and interest to specialize in information systems and also safeguard my future with a master’s degree.

What was the most important factor for you in choosing an MIS program?

The hands-on experience involved with the courses and live projects was an important factor.

Why did you choose UIC Liautaud for your graduate study?

Course flexibility, reputed faculty, good infrastructure, and the city of Chicago.

Since you have started the program, what has been the most unexpected gain the program has given you?

With the kind of courses involved in the program, I believe that I have significantly improved my communication and interpersonal skills.

Which class/professor has been your favorite thus far and why?

Information Systems Policies and Strategy (IDS 515) class has been my favorite because it has a blend of in-class case study discussion and working directly with an organization on a live project.

What is your favorite aspect of the UIC campus and why?

The fact that it is located very close to Chicago downtown, a big commercial hub. It is easier to find jobs locally in Chicago and also gives you an opportunity to network with professionals working in different industries during the daily course of life.

How would you define the Liautaud student?

Intelligent, practical and dynamic.

What advice would you provide to incoming UIC Liautaud students?

Be proactive and don’t miss out on networking opportunities.
