Q&A with Dean Michael Mikhail

In 2012, Michael Mikhail joined UIC as Dean of the College of Business. Summer in Boca Raton: Karthik Sundar's work at ADT headquarters

Karthik Sundar is a full-time MIS candidate graduating from UIC Liautaud this year. Sundar earned his B.Tech in Communications Engineering from SASTRA University in India, and has been working in the security industry with the goal of moving into marketing and CRM analytics. Braving New Fields in the MBA

I used to tell myself that once I got into business school I would focus on marketing and marketing only. In meetings with my career advisor, I was confident that after immersing myself in marketing studies, I’d transition easily into a marketing career. The CRIM Student Experience

During the 2015 fall semester, UIC Business undergrads and Liautaud MIS students participated in student-business partnerships as part of the UIC Business Center for Research in Information Management (CRIM). Under the guidance of Professors Matt Liotine and John Fyfe, students formed project teams through a process of resumé review and grouping by skills and interests. Liautaud Students at SAP TechEd

Five Liautaud MIS students recently returned from the SAP TechEd conference, which ran from October 17-23 at The Venetian in Las Vegas. The students - Sameer Deshpande, Pravesh Shenoy, Karthikeyan Venugopal, Chiranjib Ghorai, and Manohar Lakshmikanthaiah  - represented UIC last April at the Kraft Data Drive competition, where they took first place in the Clustering Challenge. Apply for UIC InKIND 2015

Each year since 2012, the UIC Liautaud Graduate School of Business has offered free consulting to Chicago-area nonprofit organizations through the MBA Association’s InKIND Consulting Program, part of the training that graduate students receive at the Liautaud Graduate School of Business. InKIND student consulting groups form in early fall, and are paired with participating nonprofits, who come to InKIND for consulting on a wide variety of problems.
