Welcome Back UIC Liautaud Students!
The UIC Liautaud Office is excited to invite you to participate in the fall 2012 Liautaud Assurance of Learning Case Competition event. Test your business acumen, prepare for case interviews and network with company reps and Liautaud alums – all in one Saturday! All students who participate will be entered into a raffle to win an iPad!

What is the Assurance of Learning?
The AACSB, the accrediting organization of business schools, has initiated a requirement that all accredited schools measure the outcomes of their programs to assure that the schools are meeting their educational goals. UIC Liautaud has developed an assessment center culminating in a case competition. Students who entered their graduate business program in Spring 2012 or earlier are eligible to participate in the event on September 15.

What do you need to do?
Participate in an Assessment Center on Saturday, September 15 in Douglas Hall, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., which culminates in a case competition. The day includes:
- Writing an analysis of a short business case
- Working with a team to prepare a case analysis
- Presenting your case analysis to a panel of judges that includes UIC Liautaud alumni
What’s in it for you?
- Members of the winning team in the case competition will win $100 each
- ALL students who participate will be entered into a raffle to win an iPad! (must be present throughout the entire day and at the time of the raffle to win)
- The satisfaction of helping your school
- Free lunch and refreshments throughout the day
This semester, the UIC Liautaud Student Organizations are helping us to recruit students to participate in this event! Make sure to contact a student organization leader to learn more about why the Assurance of Learning is a valuable experience for all students to participate in.
When you RSVP, please select which student organization best helped you understand and decide to participate in the Assurance of Learning! The student organization who recruits the most participants will receive additional funding from the Liautaud Office.
The deadline to submit your RSVP for the Assurance of Learning event is Wednesday, September 12, 2012.
