Tell us a little about your personal/professional background.

Before coming to UIC, I worked in Admissions and Recruitment at Oral Roberts University while I was studying for both of my Master Degrees. Prior to that, I worked as a Teaching Assistant, teaching undergraduate classes and also as a Grad Assistant in Admissions.

How did you end up working at UIC?

My husband and I moved to Chicago for his work at the very beginning of the summer. I knew how much I had loved working in higher education, especially in Admissions and Recruitment. I knew a little bit about UIC so when I saw the position open up online, I immediately applied!

What are you most excited to do as a Assistant Director of Admissions?

I am most excited to work with students and help them through the admissions process. I love to get to know students and learn about who they are. I also really enjoying helping people advance in their education and goals.

What critical information should students know about?

I want students to know that I am always available to help them. They are free to stop by, call, or email anytime and I will always do my best to assist them, even if they just want to stop by and chat! I think it is important to have a personal and open door approach to both Admissions and Recruitment.
